FluentExam is committed to making its exam-practice platform usable by as many learners as possible, including people with disabilities.

We work to improve the accessibility of our website, learning materials, and exam-practice features over time.

Accessibility standard

FluentExam aims to support the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, where reasonably practicable.

WCAG is an internationally recognized set of guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). It covers areas such as keyboard access, screen-reader support, text alternatives, color contrast, captions, readable content, and zoom support.

FluentExam does not represent that every page, question, feature, or third-party component is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA at all times.

Current approach

We consider accessibility when designing, developing, and updating FluentExam. Our ongoing efforts may include:

Using semantic HTML and descriptive labels for core interface controls
Supporting keyboard navigation in key platform flows
Providing text alternatives where appropriate
Supporting browser zoom and responsive layouts
Reviewing color contrast and readable visual presentation
Providing transcripts, captions, or alternative formats where available and appropriate
Reviewing reported accessibility barriers and prioritizing reasonable fixes

We may use automated and manual checks as part of our development and review process. Automated testing alone cannot identify every accessibility issue.

Known limitations

Some content or functions may not yet be fully accessible, particularly where materials are complex, newly added, created by third parties, or generated from source material that requires additional review.

Examples may include:

Some automated transcripts may contain inaccuracies or require manual correction.
Some diagrams, charts, images, or subject-specific visual materials may not yet include sufficiently detailed descriptions.
Certain third-party tools, embedded content, payment services, browsers, or assistive technologies may have accessibility limitations outside FluentExam’s direct control.
Timed practice features may not suit every learner’s needs. Where feasible, users may contact us to request reasonable alternatives or support.

We review reported barriers and seek to improve the experience where reasonably practicable.

Compatibility

FluentExam is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver, as well as browser zoom and keyboard-only navigation.

Actual performance may vary depending on a user’s device, browser, operating system, assistive technology, connection, and the particular content or feature being used.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We may update this statement as FluentExam changes, accessibility improvements are made, or our review process develops.
